Practice updates

We are looking for some of our patient's to join our patient participation group, we would like to hear your opinion on how we are doing as a practice and any thoughts on things we can improve. If you are interested please ask at reception or alternatively email us on ggc.gp46521clinical@nhs.scot.

This walking group meets on a weekly basis every Thursday at 12:55pm at the gate entrance to Cranhill park on the Edinburgh Road side, if you are Interested in joining the local walking group please ask at reception for more details or meet the group there.

This group meets on a weekly basis on a Friday 12:15-2pm in Parkhead library and is a welcoming supportive group to share experiences, gain support and increase self confidence, if you are interested please ask at reception for more details or meet the group there.

The practice has a policy of non initiation of these medications

Tramadol, Dihydrocodeine, Oxycodone, Z-Class sleeping, Diazepam/Lorazepam/Temazepam/Nitrazepam, Pregabalin, Gabapentin.

If you are currently on these medications you will now be reviewed regularly to reduce your dose.

The Practice is now operating an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner on Monday's and Wednesdays who can assess all musculoskeletal conditions and provide expert advice as well as any necessary fit notes, required medication or referral to specialist services. Patients will be signposted to Melissa where appropriate to allow GP appointments to be utilised by unwell patients who need them most.

The Practice reserves the right to charge a fee for any non GMS services - please see attached a copy of the pricing effective from 1st April 2026.
